Book Sale starts Next Week!!!

The Friends of the Orland Library will hold their annual Fall Book Sale September 20th at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church. Thousands of books on almost every subject will be available for under a dollar.This event is renowned among north-state book dealers and locals for the astounding number of books available. Tables and shelves of books for sale completely fill the parish hall, but there are so many available that there are also hundreds of books stored in boxes under the tables. In addition to popular fiction and authorslike Stephen King, John Grisham, David Baldacci, mysteries and children’s books there are also tables dedicated to nonfiction subjects like travel, cookbooks, history, science, art and much more.
Monday, September 20th-Saturday the 25th

Money raised from the sale has funded numerous library activities and projects, including new books, magazines, computers, microfilm for local newspapers and children’s programs.

Hours:

Monday and Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.;

Tuesday and Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.;

*Saturday only, 9 a.m. to noon $2.00 per bag.

    Looking forward to the book sale. Thank you for the post. Just wanted to point out that I believe Monday is the 19th and you have that the sale starts on the 20th. Just wanting a bit of clarification…

      Hi, Thanks for the comment. This is actually the post for last year’s (2010) book sale. We will be posting the information for this years books sale shortly (and you are correct, it starts on the 20th this year). Thanks, Jody
