It’s time for kids to get creative! The Friends of the Orland Library are sponsoring a bookmark contest for youth during the month of April. The bookmarks will be used for the Summer Library Program. The theme this year is “READING IS SO DELICIOUS!”
Entries must be submitted by May 1. A cash prize of $20 will be awarded to the designer of the best bookmark in each of the following four categories: Preschool and Grades K-2, Grades 3-5, Grades 6-8, and Grades 9-12.
Entry forms are available at the check-out desk. Bookmarks will be judged on originality, reproducibility, and interpretation of the theme. The art work should be the child’s own original work, and should be clear and reproducible in black and white.
