I just came back from Calcutta, India, via Sister of My Heart by Chitra Divakaruni. The trip last year to Japan with David Mitchell in The Thousand Autumns of Jacob de Zoet was fabulous. Next I’m planning to go to Ireland with Maeve Binchy, but I’d also like to take another trip to Venice with Donna Leon.
