The Teen Christmas Tree Raffle was a success, earning $110 towards furniture for the Young Adult area in the library.
Congratulations to our three winners: Fern Matousek, Karen Toney, and Cynthia Guzman.
Our thanks go to Walmart for donating the trees, all the teens who decorated them, and Kayla Green, who lead the Teen Team effort. We especially want to thank the library patrons who bought raffle tickets and donated to make this project a success.
We would also like to thank the Orland Press-Register for giving the library front page publicity in their story Ready-made Christmas Trees.
The Christmas Tree Raffle was the brainchild of our teen coordinator, Lisa Chaffin. Look for more fun teen activities and fund-raisers in the future.
