Announcement from the Glenn County Sheriff’s Office: The heat is on! Ending May with temperatures expected to be above 105 Friday and Saturday with elevated heat risk and fire danger.
The local libraries will welcome residents in search of a place to cool off. Please see the list of locations and hours of operation below and attached in English and Spanish.
A Cool Zone is a location to get out of the heat for a period of time to let your body cool down. Cool Zone facilities include libraries, community centers, malls, and senior centers. Cool Zones do not offer snacks or water, only air-conditioned facilities.
