The National Jukebox

The Library of Congress has just come out with a wonderful new resource that they call The National Jukebox. Browse and play songs from a collection of over 10,000 recordings—jazz, blues, ragtime, folksongs, parlor songs, opera, band music and more. It’s all free.
The catalog contains recordings by music greats such as opera Singer Enrico Caruso, Broadway legend Al Jolson, whistling virtuoso Charles Kellogg, composer and band leader John Philip Sousa, and thousands of other artists. Now, thanks to the Library of Congress, you can travel back in time and listen to American musical history.
