Who doesn’t love movies?

Here at the Orland Free Library we have been fortunate to be the recipient of many donations. We are very grateful and appreciative. Recently, though, through the efforts of the Library director (Jody Meza), we were thrilled to receive a grant for media items. We are adding loads of new DVDs and quite a few audio books to our inventory. I am really excited about this! We were able to fill in the gaps of, what I think a really good video collection needs. Also, some new titles, that are sure to be a hit. These include Ready Player One, Annihilation, Phantom Thread, Blade Runner 2049, Red Sparrow, The Shape of Water, Chappaquiddick, I, Tonya, A Quiet Place, Lean on Pete, Love, Simon and The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks.
Some of the titles that I spoke of earlier, that I think are great films that make for a great video collection are- Harold and Maude, This is Spinal Tap, Jaws, Aliens, A League of Their Own, Rudy, Field of Dreams, all 3 of the Toy Story movies, Carrie, the original Willy Wonka and Annie, Cool Hand Luke, The Dirty Harry Collection, Raising Arizona, The Planet of the Apes Legacy collection, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Red Tails, The Usual Suspects, Jackie Brown, Inglorious Basterds, True Romance, Wall-E and some classics, such as Easter Parade, Fiddler on the Roof, Double Indemnity and The Night of the Hunter.
I am also proud to have added some Foreign Film titles, including The 400 Blows, The Seven Samurai, A Ciambra, Akira, Biancanieves, Ugetsu and Yojimbo.
So, make sure and come into the Orland Free Library and treat yourself to some great movies!
