Wild Things at the Library!

No, not the Wild Things from the famous Sendak book. And not the kids at storytime either. These are real live wild animals—mammals and reptiles and birds, oh my! — and they are coming to the Orland Free Library on Thursday, July 21.
Wild Things Inc. is a non-profit organization that provide homes for displaced wildlife and shares these animals as wildlife ambassadors to schools and libraries. The creatures are all animals that either have injuries that keep them from surviving in the wild or animals that individuals have tried to keep as illegal pets.
Animal expert Gabe will bring several wild animals from around the world and talk about how they live and survive in the wild. You will get up close and personal with a variety of wildlife—maybe a monkey, maybe a porcupine, or maybe a giant hissing cockroach! We don’t know exactly which animals are coming to the show in Orland, but it is sure to be fascinating.
Don’t miss this exciting and educational wildlife show. We’ll see you next Thursday in Library Park at 11:00 a.m.!
For more information, call the library at 865-1640
Posted by Nancy, who is hoping (or hopping?) that Gabe brings a kangaroo.
