Best Books of 2010

Several “Best” lists have been released recently and these can come in very handy if you are looking for something to read or if you are looking for   gifts for the upcoming holiday season.  Here are a just a few:

Publisher’s Weekly Best Books of 2010: Includes Freedom by J. Franzen, The Big Short by M. Lewis, and The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by R. Skloot (which you can find at the Orland Library).  Also includes Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand (author of Seabiscuit) which we should be receiving any day now, so get your request in if you’re interested.
Library Journal Best Books 2010, Genre Fiction: Includes The Reversal by M. Connelly (available at the library) and The Killing Storm by K. Casey (coming soon).
2010’s Best Cookbooks from NPR
The 2010 National Book Award winner is Lord of Misrule by J. Gordon (on order for the library).
