Which book would you use to knock out a thief?

While I certainly do not condone library book violence I do get a kick out of this story about an older gentleman who fended off a purse snatcher by whacking him over the head with a stack of library books.  Click on the article link for the details (and to find out which books he used):

P.S.  I would use A Feast For Crows by George R. R. Martin, with 784 pages I’m pretty sure I could knock somebody out with it and relieve some of my frustration that I’ve been waiting 5 years for the next book in the series.

If I remember correctly, I do believe The World without end by Ken Follett was humongous. I would think that would be a good weapon!
