Bring in canned or nonperishable goods when you return your overdue items and we’ll waive $1.00 of fines for each item donated.
Do you have an old Library item, like a book or movie, laying around that you’ve been meaning to bring back, but wince at the thought of the potential fine involved? You’re in luck because we’ll waive your fines in exchange for donated nonperishable food items from now until January 31st. Damaged or lost books are not eligible for fine waivers.
The donated food is being collected for the Orland Pantry. The Orland Pantry is a non-profit public charity which distributes emergency food and Christmas Baskets to those with limited financial resources in the Orland, Artois, and Hamilton City areas.
