Is poetry the spice of life?

Whether you read poetry or not, I am sure you are familiar with many parts of many poems. Reading poetry is admittedly not for all tastes, but how will you know if you never try it? Here are a few very famous quotes by some of the most well known and talented:
“And miles to go before I sleep, and miles to go before I sleep” -Robert Frost
“Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-I took the one less traveled by,And that has made all the difference.” -Robert Frost
“”Sometime they’ll give a war and nobody will come” – Carl Sandburg
“I sing the body electric” -Walt Whitman
“O Captain! My Captain! our fearful trip is done” -Walt Whitman
“Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary” -Edgar Allan Poe
“All the world’s a stage, And all the men and women merely players” -William Shakespeare
That is just a tiny taste of some bits of the most well known poems. Why don’t you check out some poetry from the diverse and wide ranging poetry books we have at the Orland Free Library. You may find that it speaks to you in a very fundamental way.
